Game Development
Pixel Heroes Adventure (PHA) has kicked off its major end-of-year web3 event, Frozen Arena: Play2Mint, which officially began on December 17 and runs through January 21, 2026. Centered on the icy battlefield of Crevis, the event brings together real-time PvP combat, territory wars, and multi-world reward pools in a seasonal format that mixes gameplay with blockchain tech.
A Core Event in a Packed December Roadmap
The Frozen Arena is part of a broader December roadmap for Pixel Heroes Adventure, a blockchain RPG formerly known as MetaToyCity. This month saw several key releases, including the launch of the new world "Mechaville," a major Christmas event called Trials of Winter, and onboarding to CROSS Wave Season 1 Round 3. Each piece, including Frozen Arena, supports PHA's goal of creating an expanded multi-world ecosystem connected through cross-world progression and web3 gameplay.
What Is Pixel Heroes Adventure?
Pixel Heroes Adventure is a pixel-style RPG where players collect and train HeroZ, complete stages, and explore themed worlds filled with gathering zones, battles, and guild wars. It combines classic idle-RPG mechanics with blockchain-powered systems like token ownership, NFT crafting, and off-chain-to-on-chain token conversion. Players can access the game on Android and iOS, but must link a crypto wallet on the official DApp to interact with its token economy.
The Frozen Arena Begins: Welcome to Crevis
Frozen Arena's battlefield, Crevis, sets the stage for this winter-themed Play2Mint event. It's a snow-covered zone featuring 2 main areas (a PvP zone and a Safe Zone) where players can engage in activities like fishing, mining, logging, and monster hunting. Crevis also introduces blizzard and ice debuffs that slow movement and attack speed, pushing players to plan carefully or seek out temporary immunity through in-game statues.
Entry to Crevis is limited to event servers and requires Crevis Tickets, which are granted daily to players with active Frozen Seals.
Territory War in Real-Time
At the heart of the Frozen Arena is the Territory War, a large-scale real-time battle fought over 5 key base locations. Guilds earn Territory Points by holding bases and defeating opponents. Each location offers different buffs, and the final capture of the Main Base determines the winner. Rankings from Territory Wars directly impact reward distribution, including PlayPoints and event-exclusive items.
Up to 100 players can enter each dungeon instance, and the PvP battlefield rotates events daily based on a timed schedule that includes raids, gathering, and other in-game systems.
PlayPoints are used to determine most of the final reward distributions. They are earned through both solo activities and guild-related missions.
Statue Cores, meanwhile, are tied to group success. These materials can only be gained through activities like boss fights, dungeon exploration, and guild missions, and are needed to craft Boss Statue NFTs.
HeroZ and Event NFTs
Frozen Arena also introduces a new type of in-game asset: Frozen Arena HeroZ. These are special NFT characters awarded to the top 10 ranked guilds based on total PlayPoints. These NFTs are tradable and can be used as presets in the game.
Reward tiers are as follows:
All guilds, regardless of world, compete in the same ranking list.
The $MGT Reward Pool Keeps Growing
A major draw of the Frozen Arena event is the token reward pool, which distributes the platform's $MGT token. While the base pool started at 10 million $MGT (roughly $11,000), current stats show the pool has grown close to $40,000 worth of $MGT, and it's still increasing based on participation.
Frozen Seal: The Sponsorship System
Frozen Seal is an in-game sponsorship mechanic that allows wallet holders to support other players. By buying a Frozen Seal and assigning it to a specific player, both sponsor and sponsee will get perks like boosted PlayPoints, daily entry tickets to Crevis, and access to Frozen Boxes.
Rewards from the Frozen Seal pool are split as follows:
Boss Fights, Dungeon Events, and Debuffs
The central boss of the Frozen Arena is Crestia, a snow-flower fairy who appears at set times each day. Defeating her unlocks loot used to craft Crestia ToyZ, limited-time characters that can only be created during the event period. Only players who acquire an original during this time will be able to produce future copies after the event.
Meanwhile, daily event content includes scheduled mining, gathering, and territory wars. Each day features a rotating schedule of activities. For example, raids take place every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, while Tuesday and Friday focus on logging and mining.
Crevis also includes timed debuffs that affect combat performance. For the first 5 minutes, players are immune, after which zones like Ice Zone and Blizzard Zone start applying slow effects. Interacting with statues across the map grants temporary immunity.
Statue Core and MVA Statue Pools
Other rare rewards include MVA Statues, a limited-supply NFT awarded to the top 100 ranked players in each world. These items will play a role in LandZ content and come with capped supply.
Each reward category has its own distribution logic. For instance, the top guild in a Territory War receives 2 million Statue Cores and 5,000 PlayPoints, while guilds ranked 11 through 20 receive 100,000 Statue Cores.
PHA x Moku Collaboration Event
Running alongside the Frozen Arena is the PHA x Moku event, which features the Moku mascot, Moki. This event runs from December 17 to December 30 and allows players to earn Taiyaki items by defeating Moki. These items contribute to a world-specific ranking, with top players earning Moku NFTs and MGOLD, the game's off-chain currency.
Moki appears randomly when players complete life-skill interactions, such as mining or fishing, making him an extra bonus for active players in Crevis.
Tokens and Game Economy
Pixel Heroes Adventure supports a multi-token system:
Each token plays a different role in gameplay, trading, and staking. For example, MGOLD can be earned through gameplay, while $ADVTR must be staked to enable MGOLD withdrawals in some cases.
Stage Missions and Daily Rewards
To support player progression, the Frozen Arena also includes a full set of Stage Missions. Completing different maps and challenges across Easy, Normal, Hard, and Hell difficulty levels grants various amounts of PlayPoints.
What's more, players can also get daily PlayPoint rewards based on their LandZ holdings, with rewards resetting every 24 hours.
