The first closed test for MetaCene developer’s new game, Cyber Crash, begins on July 3 with $100k+ airdrop rewards up for grabs for eligible whitelisted players that gain early access to testing turn-based card RPG gameplay while climbing the leaderboard ranks and more throughout 15 days on Android and PC.

Pangu Software, the developer of MetaCene, has announced that the first test for the web3 mobile game Cyber Crash is starting next Thursday, on July 3, giving eligible players a limited time opportunity to play to airdrop plenty of rewards.

What Is Cyber Crash?

Cyber Crash is a blockchain-powered tactical card RPG set in a cyberpunk world in which players form squads of heroes with differing formations to engage in strategic turn-based combat across multiple battle modes that will include Arena, Dimension Assault, Cyber Siege, as well as Main and Covert Missions in the World Map. Form powerful team synergies and unlock more than 100 unique anime-styled heroes that feature distinct cybernetic abilities and skills and make them even stronger by leveling them up, upgrading their skills, and enhancing them further using mechanics such as Star Up, Implant, and Tactical Circuit.

The game is set in the year 2177, in which civilization is collapsing in waves as a result of an AI entity unleashing a dangerous virus that is corrupting the physical and digital world. Gospel City inhabits the final resistance leaders called the Inspectors, and you’ll be stepping into the role of a squad commander tasked with setting up a strong team of Inspectors and Warriors ready to fight the infected swarms and salvage a broken future.

We don’t exactly know how these key features all work yet, but the developers plan on launching a guide in the future that will likely cover all these game elements in more detail. The sci-fi title is backed by investors such as Animoca Ventures, Spartan Group, Mantle EcoFund, SevenX Capital, and many more, according to an official announcement. Next to collecting heroes and enjoying competitive gameplay, you can look forward to NFT-powered mechanics, web-based LP staking, and “easy-to-play" NFT farming.

How to Join Cyber Crash’s First Closed Test

If you want to get an early glimpse at what this web3 game has to offer, then you’ll certainly to join the game’s first closed test, which features airdrop rewards up for grabs in the form of 2 million NeonX, supposedly valued at over $100k. NeonX seems to represent airdrop points that you will be able to convert to $CCC, the game’s upcoming token, at an unspecified “boosted rate”. During the testing phase, you will be able to earn NeonX through “recharges” and by climbing the leaderboard.

To join Cyber Crash’s first closed playtest, you need to secure a whitelist spot. Getting whitelisted can be done in multiple different ways, depending on whether you’re a new player or a veteran gamer of MetaCene.

If you’re a MetaCene player who has a combat power of 100k or higher in the MetaCene Season Server, you’re eligible to join in on this reward-packed test session, and MUP holders (formerly MAN holders) can also directly participate. Veteran users who fit either of the two criteria can simply log in to the MetaCene Season Server using their email address to get whitelisted, so you’ll have to use the same email for Cyber Crash once the playtest is live. If anyone logged in using their crypto wallet or another login method, there will be an in-game mail giving you the option to log in to your email address so that you can get your whitelist spot.

For new users or anyone who doesn’t fit the above categories, your best bet to getting whitelisted is to participate in Discord events and to keep a lookout for giveaways from the game’s X account, as well as from KOLs and business partners that may have received whitelist spots to distribute to their communities, according to the official blog post.

As for the playtest itself, it will begin on July 3 and run for 15 days. While the exact features that will be included do not seem to have been stated, if you want to be among the early testers to play to airdrop $CCC, then you’ll certainly want to get whitelisted for Cyber Crash’s very first test phase. Once testing begins, the game will be available for download on Android devices, and anyone who wants to play on PC will have to download an emulator version instead, with links to both set to be available on the game’s official website.
