Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has confirmed that the next installment in the franchise will include a game-changing loadout feature. Treyarch and publisher Activision pulled back the curtain on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 during yesterday's Gamescom Opening Night Live, while also confirming a new feature that will allow players to share weapon loadout codes that are unique to specific builds.

As expected, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will officially launch on November 14. The next entry in the franchise will be a direct sequel to 2012's Black Ops 2, set in the year 2035. It will have a heavy focus on psychological warfare, with a story that revolves around fear and manipulation. For those who were around in the days of Black Ops 2, the next Call of Duty game will see some fan favorite characters make their triumphant return, including David Mason and the villainous Raul Menendez. Of course, fans can also expect plenty of new and returning features for the game's Multiplayer and Zombies, with one new addition already being dubbed as a "great idea" by fans.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Introduce Weapon Loadout Codes

There are plenty of new features coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but one in particular is going to be an absolute game-changer. According to ModernWarzone, who was one of the many content creators and journalists invited to Treyarch Studios this month to play the next entry in the series, Black Ops 7 will include weapon loadout codes that can be shared with friends. The idea is that players can simply input a code and unlock the full loadout, as opposed to manually inputting all of the weapon attachments, perks, equipment, and more. CharlieIntel then provided further details, noting that identical builds will use the same code and do not generate a new code every single time.

Fans are already praising this excellent quality-of-life feature, and it's not the only positive change Treyarch seems to have made for the next Black Ops game. While the studio has opted to evolve its omnimovement system with wall jumps and other new changes, Treyarch has taken on board fan feedback surrounding Tac Sprint and moved the movement feature to its own designated perk, meaning it will no longer be a default mechanic in Black Ops 7.

These are just some of the major changes being made in the next Call of Duty game, and those eager to go hands-on with the shooter won't have to wait long, as the official beta for Black Ops 7 will go live on October 2 for those who have pre-ordered the game. There will then be an open beta for everyone to jump into from October 5.

Despite the positive changes, it's going to be a tough year for Call of Duty, as Battlefield looks to be back with a bang. After the disastrous launch of Battlefield 2042 in 2021, EA and DICE have returned with the already record-breaking Battlefield 6. As fans desperately plead for a more grounded and realistic shooter, it looks like Treyarch is going to have to pull out all the stops with Black Ops 7 if it wants to stop fans from jumping ship.
