Marvel Rivals has given players a first look at Jean Grey and Blade, who are set to become the next playable characters in NetEase Games' popular hero shooter during Season 3. While Season 2.5 of Marvel Rivals is coming to a close, gamers still have some time to complete their battle pass and any limited events that are currently live, as the new season won't be making its debut until July 11. Of course, those who have purchased the premium version of the Season 2 battle pass don't have to worry about it expiring.
It was recently teased that a new Klyntar map will be coming to Marvel Rivals with the launch of Season 3, which is the home of the symbiotes. This likely means that the villain Knull will play a major role in Season 3 as well, as he rules over the world as the god of darkness and creator of the symbiotes. While the new location has been teased, it's expected that NetEase Games will reveal a full showcase of the map ahead of the launch of the new season.
In a recent trailer for Season 3, NetEase Games revealed that it will be adding the popular heroes Jean Grey and Blade to Marvel Rivals' ever-expanding roster. While not much is known about the two characters yet, the developers have revealed that they will both be Duelists. Jean Grey will be making her debut first with the launch of Season 3 on July 11, while Blade will be added to the title during a major mid-season update. Unlike the first two seasons, Season 3 will only last two months as NetEase Games has opted to shorten the length of its seasons overall.
Jean Grey and Blade Are Coming to Marvel Rivals
It has also been revealed that the battle pass for Season 3 of Marvel Rivals will include new skins for Jeff the Land Shark, Emma Frost, Squirrel Girl, and Rocket Raccoon. While Emma Frost appears to have been given a Phoenix makeover courtesy of Jean Grey, the rest of the characters can be seen donning symbiote costumes that give the heroes an appearance similar to Venom.
Before the release of Season 3, players will be given the opportunity to purchase new skins for Spider-Man and Captain America in Marvel Rivals on July 3 at 7 PM PDT. Spider-Man is receiving a Future Foundation skin, which is part of a larger set that also includes Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch. Meanwhile, Captain America will be kicking off a new line of symbiote-themed skins with his Captain Klyntar costume, which is based on his appearance in the comic book Edge of Venomverse from 2017. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
