The Witcher 3 Quietly Gets a $10 Price Increase Ahead of September Remaster

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has quietly become more expensive on Steam, with the Complete Edition reportedly increasing from $39.99 to $49.99 shortly after CD Projekt RED announced the game's upcoming remaster.

The timing has caught players' attention because the price change comes just weeks before The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt -Remastered launches on September 29, 2026.

CD Projekt RED announced the remaster during Gamescom Opening Night Live, revealing a range of visual, performance, gameplay, and quality-of-life improvements. The upgraded version will be provided as a free upgrade to existing owners on supported platforms.

The Witcher 3 Complete Edition Now Costs More

According to reports, the Complete Edition's Steam price has increased by $10, moving from $39.99 to $49.99. The increase was not accompanied by a separate public announcement from CD Projekt RED, making the timing particularly notable.

The Complete Edition includes the acclaimed Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, giving new buyers access to the game's broader content package.

For existing owners, however, the situation is different. CD Projekt RED has confirmed that owners of the base game will receive both expansions at no additional cost, alongside access to the Remastered edition.

Remastered Edition Arrives September 29

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt-Remastered is scheduled to launch on September 29, 2026.

The upgrade introduces improvements across visuals, performance, gameplay, combat, controls, and other systems. The remaster will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, while native versions are also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Battle.net.
