Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army fixes a lot of things from the original, including encounters and demon fusion. In the original game, encounters were randomized, but now players can see demons running around. The process of fusing demons together has also never been easier in the Megami Tensei games.
Players can summon two demons in battle and one demon while exploring towns and dungeons. With over a hundred demons to find or fuse, newbies to Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army may feel a bit lost. Let’s go over some starting demons that players should recruit for their exploration and battle techniques in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
Angel looks like a stereotypical angel in an RPG and has a basic understanding of healing and wind-based magic. One great Passive Skill it has is called Halve Mind, which can help prevent players from getting infected by typical RPG status effects.
Angel’s Investigation Skill, Fly, allows it to access hard-to-reach places during Solo Investigations. The best fusion for Angel involves Azumi and Ukobach, which can then give Angel additional ice and fire magic. Both demons can be found in Tsukudo-cho.
Ippon-Datara looks sort of like a creepy serial killer with its mask, tools, and apron. It has a pretty good starting fire spell, Maragi, along with its Passive Skill, Life Bonus, which can increase HP. His Investigation Skill Demonstrate can alter the phases of the moon, which is valuable in a few cases within the game.
Players would be wise to fuse Azumi and Poltergeist for this one, both of which are located in the Daidouji Residence basement. This will give Ippon-Datara some ice and wind spells.
Jack Frost is one of the most classic Megami Tensei demons, appearing in many games and even starring in a spinoff called Jack Bros. for the Virtual Boy. Jack Frost is one of the best ice magicians early in the game thanks to its Passive Skill, Ice Boost, so fusing it fast with demons like Poltergeist and Raiju is a good idea.
Both demons are located in the Daidouji Residence basement, and their talents can add lighting and wind spells to Jack Frost's arsenal. Jack Frost’s Investigation Skill, Cool Down, can help when talking to certain NPCs.
Koropokkur is a small gnomish-looking creature with a giant leaf. Its talents lie in lightning spells, but players can broaden its magical skills by fusing Poltergeist and Ukobach to give it some wind and fire spells as well. Poltergeist is found in the Daidouji Residence basement, while Ukobach can be found in Tsukudo-cho.
Koropokkur’s Passive Skill, Fast Escape, allows players to get out of battles quickly if they need to. Also, both of its starting Investigation Skills, Inspect and Sneak, can help with a variety of missions if players need to get stealthy all of a sudden.
Neko Shogun is an adorable cat dressed like a samurai who excels mostly in support skills. Its biggest Passive Skill is Halve Mind, similar to Angel.
Neko Shogun’s Investigation Skill, Use Force, is better, as the demon can attack enemies in the field from afar. If players are at a high enough level, then a battle may not occur, and they can just get the EXP and rewards instead. Players should use Agathion and Ukobach to give Neko Shogun wind, lightning, and fire spells. Both demons are located in Tsukudo-cho.
Nezha looks like Dr. Frankenstein made his creature out of a baby instead of parts from a man. Weird looks aside, Nezha is one of the strongest physical fighters early on in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
It can be fused with Agathion and Jack-o’-Lantern. Agathion is in Tsukudo-cho while Jack-o’-Lantern can be found in the Daidouji Residence basement. Physical strength is all well and good, but so is a little magic, as these two demons can add fire, lightning, and wind spells to Nezha. Nezha can increase critical hits via its Passive
Skill, Sink or Swim, and, like Neko Shogun, it has Use Force for an Investigation Skill.
Orthus is a bit of a process to fuse, but as a starting demon, it is one of the strongest both physically and magically. First, players need to create a Mermaid by fusing Agathion and Poltergeist, which can be found in Tsukudo-cho and the Daidouji Residence basement, respectively.
Next, they will fuse Mermaid with Ippon-Datara to create an absolute powerhouse build for Orthus. On its own, Orthus is best with fire magic thanks to its Fire Boost Passive Skill, and its Investigation Skill, Ignite, can interact with NPCs, similar to Jack Frost’s Cool Down.
Pagan is not the best-looking demon around, but there’s one important reason to get it quickly. First, players should fuse this bad boy into existence via Agathion and Azumi, both of which can be found in Tsukudo-cho. Altogether, this will add ice and lightning to its pre-existing wind-based magic.
Pagan's Investigation Skill, Read Mind, will be used with NPCs a lot during exploration exercises, but best of all is its Passive Skill, Loose Change. This can conjure up extra money, and money cheats are always good in an RPG.
