Roblox has announced plans to establish its regional headquarters for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in Riyadh, strengthening the company's long-term investment in Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing gaming and digital economy.
The move aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the country's economy and position the Kingdom as a major global destination for technology, entertainment, esports, and game development.
Roblox said its new Riyadh headquarters will play an important role in supporting the regional creator ecosystem while contributing to Saudi Arabia's broader ambition of becoming a global gaming hub.
The expansion is being supported by several Saudi organizations, including the Ministry of Investment, Riyadh Creative District, and the General Authority of Media Regulation.
Saudi Arabia has become one of Roblox's important markets, both in terms of player engagement and creator activity.
According to the company, earnings among Saudi Arabian Roblox creators increased by 59% year-over-year, highlighting the growing opportunities available to creators building experiences on the platform.
Globally, Roblox creators earned more than $1.5 billion in 2025, demonstrating the scale of the company's creator-driven ecosystem and its growing role in the digital entertainment economy.
Roblox has also been expanding its involvement in education and skills development within Saudi Arabia. More than 700,000 Saudi high school students participated in the inaugural Play to Learn competition, reflecting the increasing use of interactive platforms to support STEM education and digital creativity.
The Riyadh expansion also builds on Roblox's partnership with Savvy Games Group, which focuses on exploring how the platform can support STEM learning and help develop skills among Saudi students, creators, and game studios.
Mohamed El Sheakh, Roblox's General Manager for MENA and Türkiye, said the decision reflects the company's long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and its digital economy objectives.
The new regional presence is expected to support further initiatives across education, creator development, and the gaming ecosystem.
Saudi Arabia has significantly increased its investment in gaming and esports in recent years, with Vision 2030 placing the interactive entertainment industry among the country's major growth sectors.
The arrival of Roblox's MENA headquarters in Riyadh represents another step in the Kingdom's efforts to attract global gaming companies, develop local talent, and strengthen its position within the international games industry.
Roblox's Riyadh expansion highlights how major gaming platforms are increasingly looking beyond traditional markets for future growth. Saudi Arabia's investment in creators, gaming talent, and digital infrastructure could make the region an increasingly important destination for game development and innovation.
