Epic Games is making another adjustment to Fortnite’s in-game economy, and this time it directly impacts Fortnite Crew subscribers. Beginning June 2026, the monthly V-Bucks reward included in the Crew Pack will be reduced from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks.
V-Bucks serve as Fortnite’s primary in-game currency, allowing players to purchase cosmetics, Battle Passes, and other premium content across different game modes. Despite Fortnite being free-to-play, V-Bucks play a key role in enhancing the player experience through customization and unlockable content.
According to information shared via email by Epic Games, the change won’t take effect immediately, giving subscribers time to reconsider their memberships before renewal.
While some players may assume the reduced V-Bucks aligns with recent price adjustments—such as the Battle Pass now costing 800 V-Bucks—the overall value proposition has taken a hit. Cosmetic prices in the Item Shop remain unchanged, meaning players will effectively have less purchasing power each month.
The Fortnite Crew subscription, priced at $11.99 per month (or included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), still offers exclusive cosmetic bundles and access to various passes while active. However, the reduced monthly V-Bucks could influence how players perceive its overall value.
Over the course of a year, the 200 V-Bucks reduction per month results in a total loss of 2,400 V-Bucks. With 200 V-Bucks costing around $4, this adds up to nearly $23 in value annually—raising concerns among the community about whether the subscription is still worth it.
As Fortnite continues to evolve its monetization strategy, this change may lead some players to reconsider or cancel their Crew subscriptions in the coming months.
