EA Sports has shared an exciting new look at College Football 27, revealing one of the biggest equipment and customization upgrades the franchise has seen to date.
In a newly released developer showcase, EA Sports confirmed that College Football 27 will introduce more than 100 new equipment items, giving players greater control over how athletes and coaches look on the field. The update focuses heavily on realism, authenticity, and personalization, bringing the college football experience closer to real life than ever before.
Among the new additions are hanging mouth guards, reflective visors, single-leg sleeves, redesigned helmets, resized shoulder pads, and several new accessory options. Coaches are also receiving expanded customization features, including branded footwear, updated hoodies, and new sideline apparel.
These upgrades are designed to improve player authenticity while giving fans more ways to recreate the appearance of their favorite college football stars. Combined with EA Sports' extensive NCAA licensing agreements, the changes should help make teams and athletes feel more realistic throughout the game.
The equipment overhaul is only one part of a much larger update coming to College Football 27. EA Sports has also confirmed gameplay improvements, including 22 new defensive playbooks, enhanced receiver-versus-defender interactions, and expanded strategic options on both sides of the ball.
The popular Dynasty Mode is also receiving significant upgrades through the introduction of the new Dynasty Blueprint system. This feature allows players to invest Dynasty Points into areas such as coaching staff development, facility upgrades, recruiting resources, and NIL-related improvements to build a long-term championship program.
Following the successful revival of the college football franchise in recent years, EA Sports appears determined to continue expanding the series with deeper customization and more authentic gameplay experiences.
College Football 27 is scheduled to launch on July 9, giving fans plenty to look forward to as the next chapter of the franchise prepares to hit the field.
