Ubisoft has released Title Update 1.06 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, bringing a major round of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to the remake.

The update, released on August 4, focuses primarily on improving stability and fixing issues reported by players since launch. Alongside dozens of fixes, Ubisoft has also added a small but useful customization option for Edward Kenway.

Players can now hide Edward’s blowpipe from his back through the outfit menu. The new Hide Gear option allows players to remove the weapon from his appearance, while Show Gear restores it.

The patch also increases the number of available autosaves from five to 10, giving players more opportunities to return to earlier points in their progression. Several crash issues have also been addressed, including problems that could occur during ground and naval combat.

Gameplay and World Fixes

Title Update 1.06 resolves a wide range of gameplay problems, including issues affecting assassinations, rope darts, enemy behavior, naval combat and parkour. Ubisoft has also fixed situations where enemies could fail to react correctly or where players could become stuck in certain areas.

Fast travel has received several fixes as well, including an issue that could allow players to travel to unsynchronized viewpoints in Havana.

Visual and Performance Improvements

The update also tackles numerous visual issues, including animation problems, camera glitches, ragdoll behavior, underwater lighting and character clipping.

On PC, Ubisoft has fixed an issue that could lock cutscenes to 30 FPS when using custom graphics settings. The patch also addresses a PSSR issue affecting players who used the same account on PS5 and PS5 Pro.

Several audio and localization problems have been corrected, including missing combat sounds and Chinese localization issues.

Numerous Quest Fixes

A large portion of the update is dedicated to quest-related problems. Ubisoft has fixed progression issues across missions including Overrun and Outnumbered, Delirium, Traveling Salesman, Vainglorious Bastards, A Second Chance, Mayan Mysteries, The Sage's Buried Secret and several others.

These fixes address problems ranging from NPCs becoming stuck and objectives disappearing to unavailable quests, broken cutscenes and lost progression.

Update Sizes

The patch is relatively large on some platforms:

  • Xbox Series X/S: 15.2 GB
  • PS5: 5.03 GB
  • PC: 3.7 GB
  • Steam: 1.8 GB

While Title Update 1.06 doesn't introduce major new content, its extensive list of fixes should improve the overall experience for players returning to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

The update also restores the ability to toggle Edward's hood during the Leap of Faith, fixing another visual customization issue that had frustrated players.
