New Assassin's Creed Hexe Leaks: Protagonist's Real Name, Actual Setting, and More

When Ubisoft first revealed Assassin's Creed Hexe, fans quickly guessed that the game would take place during the Witch Trials in the Holy Roman Empire, most likely in Germany. Now, new leaks are revealing even more details, including the protagonist’s real name, her background, and the exact historical setting of the game.

According to leaks shared by insider Rogue and partially supported by Ubisoft leaker xJonathan, the main character is reportedly named Anika, while “Elsa” was only an internal development name. The game is rumored to be set during the Würzburg Witch Trials between 1625 and 1631, one of the deadliest witch hunts in European history.

The leaks also suggest that Hexe will have a darker tone than previous Assassin’s Creed games. Features like blood pacts, poisons, ritual investigations, and a stronger NPC alert system are reportedly included, making stealth gameplay more intense. Forest exploration may also play a major role, with players able to jump between tree branches similar to the parkour style seen in Assassin’s Creed 3.

One of the biggest rumored surprises is the return of Ezio Auditore. Reports claim that Anika is a descendant of Claudia Auditore, Ezio’s sister, and that Ezio appears as a spirit-like mentor throughout the game. Several leaked voice lines between the characters have already appeared online, increasing fan excitement.

Although these details are still unconfirmed, the leaks are creating major hype among fans. If true, Assassin’s Creed Hexe could become one of the franchise’s darkest and most unique entries yet.
